Our last and final day brought us to the Catskills. We were greeted by Jim Thompson of the Delaware County Tourism Bureau. The girls and I were treated to a lunch at the Hancock House. Jim gave us some insight into Delaware County and all of its offerings. During the winter, I plan on coming back to take advantage of the Catskills offerings. We would have taken advantage of the summer water activities but because of weather, our day was cut short. It was OK though, as after 10 days on the road, a break was welcomed by all.
Before we headed back to NYC, we stopped over at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum. Jim Krul and Erin Phelan gave the girls a tour of the museum and some much needed instruction on the art of fly fishing. I am sorry we didn't get a chance to actually fly fish, but again, when the weather permits, I will definitely make the trip up here again.
